The Pacific Northwest

Published by under Travel

One of the reason that I love living in the Pacific Northwest is the abundance of interesting places to visit. So when weekends roll around, we try to make short daytrips to nearby places. Since we’ve just moved here this yr, there’s still a lot more places to visit. In the meantime, just sharing a couple photos from recent trips.

Snoqualmie Falls

Deception Pass

A lighthouse on a nearby island

PhotoHunters: Colorful

Published by under Photo Hunter,Photography

Lil’ C loves alphabets nowadays, so we went to the craft store & got some of these . . . .

Foam Alphabets – aren’t they colorful?

Who knew that these alphabets would turn out to be so fun. So far, she has used them to learn her spelling, decorate her toys and even served them as food in her play kitchen : )

Camera recommendation, anyone?

Published by under Rambling

Yesterday, I went to check out some cameras & ended up more confused than ever. My old Canon one died on me. I do have a Nikon D50 DSLR which I use most of the time. I love my Nikon but that thing is so ….. bulky. Sometimes I look like a “siao” (crazy) woman with that thing around my neck !! I think I need to get a compact one so that I can capture some kodak moments without having to lug around the bulky thing. So, my fellow bloggers with all those beautiful pics, any recommendation? CANON??? NIKON???? FUJI???

Photo Hunters: Cooking

Published by under Photo Hunter,Photography

Was blog hopping when I came across Photo Hunter. Since this week’s topic covers 2 of my many hobbies – photography & cooking, I decided to join in the fun. Tada…. my contribution:

This photo signifies our first BBQ hamburger of the year. With the weather finally getting warmer, the grill gets unpacked, dusted off & put into action by my grill-fanatic DH! : )

Rainbow

Published by under Rambling

While we were having dinner today, suddenly Lil’ C got so excited & started shouting “rainbow, rainbow!!” So I turned around & saw this outside our window. Isn’t it beautiful? Aiyah, too bad the crane had to be there to mess up my photo. The crane belongs to the construction going on behind my hse. Hmmm…..wonder if there’s a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow ??? *grin*
