Tag: Am I Infected?

Published by under Tag

There seems to be a tag craze going around. Being a pretty new blogger, I’m a little overwhelmed with them.  So to those awesome blogger friends who tagged me, thank you so much for tagging me & I’m so sorry if I forget to do any of the tag. Will try to get to them when I can. : )

ok back to this tag. Rambling Moo tagged me on this one. Actually, I’m a little scared to see the result… :p Anyway, here goes…….

You Are 54% Addicted to the Internet

You’re somewhat addicted to the internet – but who isn’t?You can keep it under check, and you’re by no means a hermit.

Are You Addicted to the Internet?

54%! Phew! not as bad as I thought!! I was expecting maybe 70% and above. Ok, so it shows I still have other things on my mind besides the internet. : )

Not going to tag anyone since this is an old tag but feel free to do it if you want. It’s kinda fun.

Cute Cars!

Published by under Interesting Stuff

I was at the farmers market (will blog about this later) when I saw these cars!! Aren’t they cute???? Don’t they look like toy cars?

This one is my favorite! It is only a one-seater & it’s an electric vehicle. It only has 3 wheels!! I think it can drive up to 40 miles before you have to charge it again.

This one is a pick-up truck.

These cars are suppose to be environmental friendly. I would love to have one of these but right now maybe because it’s new, the price is still kinda high. : (  Oh, this is not a sponsored post. : )

Photo Hunters: Creative

Published by under Photo Hunter,Photography

For this week’s theme, I didn’t have time to take any new photos. So I decided to look through some of my old photos and see if anything fits this theme.  I think these 2 photos which I borrowed from my food blog fits the theme. What do you think? Is it creative? : )

I call this my cupcake extreme makeover. : p Just like how we can look different with make-up, a cupcake can also look very different with “make-up”. The one on the left is a plain banana cupcake, the middle one is decorated with buttercream while the one on the right in covered with fondant.

This is another cupcake decorated to look like Elmo. I was actually using this cupcake to practice before making a bigger birthday cake for my little girl’s 2nd birthday.

Weekend Outing to Sequim – Part 2

Published by under Travel

* A very backdated post *

Continuing from part 1,  where did we go when there’s a  bored toddler in the car? To the zoo, of course!! This zoo is a little different because it’s a drive-thru zoo.

Meet The Bison! I will never forget the bison because 7 yrs ago, he left a big scar on my then 2-mth old car! What a heartache! *sigh*  At this zoo, we get up close and personal with the animals. See how close the animals came to the car ahead of us?

That’s how close the bison came to our car. It was scary since the bison is so big. We have a Camry and the bison is definitely much taller than the car. Then it decided to give us a headbutt!! DH stepped on the gas and took off quickly before it decides to do another headbutt. When we got home, then only we discovered the first scar on our new car!! :(

More animals:
Bears – When I first saw the bear, it look so cuddly like the stuffed animal. Then I saw the long claws! Yikes!! Kinda scary!

Clockwise:
Chicken – I’m not sure why there’s a chicken in the zoo but it looks so nice. I think it must have run away from the petting zoo nearby. Peahen, Elk & Prairie Dog.

Overall, it was pretty fun. Lil’ C loves going to the zoo. Looks like there’ll be a lot more zoo trips in the near future.

Emerge Skin Care

Published by under CreamAid

No matter how hard I try, I cannot deny the fact that I am getting older. However, just because I’m getting older doesn’t mean I need to look old, right? For maintaining my youthful look, I depend a lot on good beauty products.

I have been testing out different types of beauty products when I came across Emerge Skin Care. Founded by a team of dermatologists and chemists, Emerge offers a complete skin care range from face, body and sun treatments. They also have been formulated to address major skin concerns like sensitive skin. I notice that Emerge offers mini free samples. I’m definitely going to request for some to try them out.

Red Bean Paratha

Published by under Food

Look what I found at the Asian grocery store the other day - Red Bean Paratha!! This is the first time I’ve ever come across Red Bean Paratha. It’s even made in Malaysia.

There’s only 2 pieces in each packet. So I bought one packet to try. It turned out to be really good. The red bean was a little sweet but the paratha was vcry crispy.  Lil’ C also tried it and she loved it. Kept asking me for more red bean pancake. I better get some more when I go to the Asian grocery store next time.

Top 10 Fun Facts about Orlando

Published by under CreamAid

When people mention Orlando, they always think of DisneyWorld but do you know that Orlando is much more than that? When I was living in South Florida, I would make that 2 hour drive to Orlando at least once every month. For me , Orlando is a great place to shop because they have so many factory outlets there. Here are the more fun facts about Orlando .

1. According to Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s 2006 Travel Trends Survey, Orlando is the second most popular domestic travel destination in the country (Las Vegas placed first).

2. Out of the estimated 50 million tourists who visit Orlando each year, over 2 million are international visitors, with the majority of foreign tourists coming from the United Kingdom.

3. There are now 20,000 to 25,000 rental properties in Central Florida, mostly located near the theme parks.

4. The official nickname of the city of Orlando is “The City Beautiful,” although it is also known as “O-Town.”

5. Ever wonder why there are so many Olive Gardens and Red Lobsters in town? Orlando is the corporate headquarters of Darden Restaurants, which also runs the Bahama Breeze, Smokey Bones, and Seasons 52 restaurants.

6. Even though few people outside of Florida knew where Orlando was before Walt Disney World opened in 1971, the city of Orlando had been around for more than century before that; it was incorporated in 1875.

7. Orlando is the county seat of Orange County, Florida, although the vast citrus groves for which the county was named no longer exist.

8. Before there was Disney, there was also a considerable amount of cattle ranching in Central Florida; you can still see cattle grazing along certain stretches of the 417 GreeneWay Expressway.

9. Although many of Orlando’s citizens (especially the most famous ones) are originally from somewhere else, there are a few celebrities who were born and raised in Orlando, including Wayne Brady and Delta Burke.

10. Beat generation icon Jack Kerouac lived in the College Park neighborhood of Orlando during the time his novel On the Road was published in 1957.

Photo Hunters: Shadow

Published by under Photo Hunter,Photography

This week’s theme is shadow and this is what I came up with …….
Hand Shadows!!!

What do you think this look like?
Or this?

The inspiration for these photos actually came from my little gal’s book. We were reading about Curious George and how he made hand shadows to entertain the audience after he broke the movie projector. Since then we have been playing a little hand shadow in the morning when the sun’s shining directly into our dining room. My 2 yr old really loves it! : )
