Just My Rambling

I have just received news that a friend of mine has accepted a job transfer to Paris for 3 years. I am so happy for her because this means a major job promotion for her. This also means that she will be able travel around France and visit all the famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum. Oh, I am so jealous!! LOL!

Since she plans to move all her belongings there, she will need to find international movers to help her move. According to her, she plans to use InternationalMovers.com to help with the international shipping. I wish her all the best and maybe I can visit her during her short time there.

I was using my laptop last week when all of a sudden everything went blank! Of course I panicked. Wouldn’t you?? I thought that I had lost all my data on the laptop. Being technically challenged, I handed the laptop to my technical support aka the husband to check it out. To my relief, it was the battery that was dead, not the laptop!!

So, I have been searching the web for replacement batteries and I came across Low Cost Batteries.com. Wow, they really have all sorts of batteries! I’m so glad that they have the battery that I want which is the dell inspiron 9400 laptop battery. Even with their low price, they still offer free shipping for domestic orders over $99.00. Isn’t that great? I am off to order my batteries now.

I used to love reality TV but nowadays I think it has gone a little overboard. Seems like everything and anything can be made into a reality TV show. So I’ve not been watching them for a while but recently I got hooked on Top Chef. Hey, I’m a foodie, what else can I say!! :) I just love the interesting food they come up with although with some of the dishes, I think it’s bleah…

Anyway, it’s down to the final four now. I think it’ll be Hung vs Casey in the finals. But with reality shows, who knows!! Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow night.

I used to think that it is very difficult to setup an online business but I just found out that it is not difficult at all. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to all!!! I am sure a lot of kids are playing with latterns today. I remember when I was young, I would pester my parents to get a new animal lattern every year . Then a whole group of us would go around our garden with our beautifully-lit lanterns. It was always so much fun.  *sigh* Memories…….

At least I did make some mooncake this year. Check it out here. This is the first time my gal has ever tried mooncake & she really likes it. So I’ll probably make it again next year. Maybe next year, I can make a lantern with her too.

Have you ever been to Costa Rica? Well, I haven’t but I am hoping that I can make a trip there next summer. That’s why I have been trying to gather as much Costa Rica Information as I can. I found a few companies that specialize on Costa Rica Travel. I think I will book a vacation package with them. I just can’t decide on which one I like right now but it will definitely have to include a trip to the rainforest to see some amazing wildlife. I am also going to check on the Costa Rica Real Estate just in case I decide to buy an investment property there.

When I was still in high school, I loved origami which is the art of paper folding. I remember a whole group of us used to just sit around in school and make paper cranes or stars just for fun. I guess it was the “in” thing to do at that time. But that was a very long time ago!!

So when I came across this packet of colorful origami papers in the store the other day, I thought it will be fun for my little girl to play with it during craft time.

The first page shows samples of different birds that can be made. It also comes with instructions on how to make each one of them. Phew!! That will come in very handy!!  The yellow bird was one that I made for my gal yesterday. She was not very interested in the folding part yet but love the end product. I think we are going to have a lot of fun at craft time in the next couple of weeks!
