Lots of travelling

Published by under Rambling

It’s only been a week and so far I have been to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Today I will be travelling to my hometown in Perak. It has been really tiring but thankfully Lil’ C is such a good traveller. She doesn’t mind the long trips and is very comfortable travelling. She gets onto the plane or bus or cab, sits on her seats, buckles herself with the seat belt and just starts coloring or reading. It really makes travelling a lot easier. :)

The highlight of the trip so far is definitely the food. It seems like we are eating all the time!!! I think I really need to go on a diet when I get back!!

My bag is full!

Published by under Useful Links,V

Even though I am only halfway through my vacation , my luggage is already full to the brink. I think I will have to buy another luggage to bring back to US. There are lots of new clothes of Lil’ C, books, local spices and bakewares, and some souvenirs for friends. I am thinking about buying some hot lingerie and more clothes for myself too.  I just hope that I don’t exceed the weight limit for my luggages when I go back.

Getting old!

Published by under Useful Links,V

Even though I am only on a short vacation, I managed to meet up with some of my relatives whom I have not seen for a very long time. I think it’s been 10 years since I last saw one of my cousins! One of my first thought when I meet some of them is that they are getting old. These are my cousins that I used to play dolls and hopscotch with during my childhood. Now some are spotting white hair while others have children in high school already. One of my relatives told me that she even bought a burial policy. Yikes! I never really thought of myself getting older but I guess I have to start admitting that I am getting old too!

Do you find yourself looking for internet access all the time? Now that I am on vacation and on the road all the time, it has been very hard getting access to internet. Everywhere I go, I find myself looking out for places that has internet services. Yikes! I need help!! Are you like me too? I wonder how many people in this world will suffer from internet withdrawal symptom if there’s no internet access in this world for just one day???? :)

Can I have a blueprint first please?

Published by under Useful Links,V

Remember I mentioned before that my husband wants to upgrade all the cable in the house to Cat5e? Well, now he’s talking about adding KVM switches as well. I still have no idea what he is talking about. Maybe I should go read more about all these technical stuff before he starts making the changes. I think it might be a good idea to get him to draw up a plan just like one of those architectural blueprints. Then at least I have a better understanding of what he plans to do!!

DIY projects or golf?

Published by under Useful Links,V

My husband is playing singlehood these couple of weeks while Lil’ C and I are away. Since he is so free, I gave him a whole list of DIY projects around the house. This list includes caulking the bathroom sink, changing the door hardware, organizing the garage and installing bookshelves.  I am curious whether any of these projects will be completed by the time I get back. I have a feeling that he will be spending more time on the golf course than on these projects. I guess I should call him and remind him!

Long shopping list

Published by under Useful Links,V

Everytime I come back to SE Asia, I always have a long shopping list. Naturally food items are always at the top of the list. I love to buy all the prepackaged spices back. Other than food items, I also like to buy local baking supplies back. Usually it’s those baking supplies not found in US like mooncake molds or jello molds. This time, I am also planning to buy a gold chain for my daughter. I am still adding to my list. Maybe I will need to buy another luggage to bring all my goodies back to US. :)

Back in hot weather!

Published by under Rambling

It’s been 2 days and I am still trying to get used to the hot & humid weather. Luckily there’s aircon at the place where I am staying or I don’t think I can sleep at night.  But other than the weather, it’s great being back. Stuffing myself everyday with all the yummy food. We went shopping at some of the new malls and I am just overwhelmed with the number of eateries they have at the malls. Really had a hard time deciding what to eat! Aahhh… this is what I miss most about this country. The insanely number of choices of food anytime anywhere!!!

Time to renovate my bathroom

Published by under Useful Links,V

I used to love having a bathtub in my bathroom. Whenever I was tired, I would soak in a bubble bath and read a book to relax. However since I had my little girl, I don’t have such luxury anymore. Bath time is usually a rush. That’s why my bathtub is a white elephant now. I have been thinking of removing the bathtub and adding in a nice shower instead. Maybe this weekend, I will head over to directbuy, a members-only showroom, to see if there’s anything I like. With a Directbuy membership, I will be able to buy products at a manufacturer price which means great savings for me.

Free Giftpack!

Published by under Blog Stuff,Freebies

I was totally surprised when I opened my mailbox and found a package waiting for me. Don’t you just love it when that happens? I opened it and guess what I found . . . . .

A tote bag and a T-shirt from the Campbell Go Red Campaign post that I did earlier. Thanks Campbell for this lovely gift pack!! My little girl loves the sparkles on the tote bag and has already claimed it to be her princess bag.

Thanks also to Elina from BDMM for this great opportunity. If you haven’t heard of BDMM, head over and check it out now.
