It’s all scratched up!

Published by under Useful Links,V

I have been in a nesting mode these past couple of days. I was turning the house upside down, cleaning and scrubbing everything. It is so dusty everywhere!! I really wish that the construction behind my house would be completed soon because they are creating so much dust. Anyway, I was cleaning my kitchen sink when I noticed that the sink is pretty scratched up. I guess that is what happens when the sink is made of low-quality material. Maybe if I had gotten Franke sinks, it probably would not be in such a bad shape.

It’s snowing again!

Published by under Useful Links,V

Just as the weatherman predicted, it has been snowing for the past 2 days. There’s not that much snow but there is enough to make the road icy & a little dangerous to drive. So here we are stuck at home. My husband is a little upset since he had to cancel his golf game. I bet he wishes he was playing Branson golf where the weather is sunny and perfect for golfing!!

What’s wrong with the weather?

Published by under Rambling

Just when I thought I could enjoy spring weather, it started snowing again today!! The weather is freezing too. Look at the weather forecast for the next few days. Sigh……

Looks like it’s going to be a cold & wet weekend again. Hopefully this will be the last snow for the year!!

Yummy food at the fair

Published by under Useful Links,V

My little girl loves to go to the fair. She loves the rides like the merry-go-round. However, I think her favorite part of the fair is definitely the food. I have to agree with her. Usually the fairs have yummy snacks like the funnel cake, grilled corn, ribs and more. She loves the popcorn too and she loves watching the popcorn machines in action. I wish I can get one of those popcorn machines for my house. It will definitely keep her entertained for some time.

Photo Hunter: Metal

Published by under Photo Hunter,Photography

It seems like it has been a long time since I did Photo Hunters. It’s good to be back. For this week’s theme, I thought I would show a couple of bridges here in the Pacific Northwest.

This one’s called The Bridge of the Gods. It spans the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon.

This is the Deception Pass Bridge. It connects Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island in Washington.

A close up of the Deception Pass Bridge.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend.

What to do with my tax rebate?

Published by under Useful Links,V

It’s so depressing watching the financial news nowadays. I am watching my bank interest rate slipping lower & lower everyday. It’s just not worth it to put the money into CDs anymore nowadays. Once I receive my tax rebate check, I will have to figure out what to do with that money. Maybe I should look for commodity brokers to help me invest my money in the market instead of putting it in the bank. I am sure that will yield me more returns on investment than the CDs will.

Hello Kitty Playland at Taiwan Airport

Published by under Travel

*Backdated post

The flight home to Malaysia was a very long one. It was 14 hours from here to Taiwan, a 3 hour layover and then another 4 hours to Kuala Lumpur. Before we got to Taiwan, I was actually wondering what we were going to do for 3 hours with a 3 yr old. So when we got to Taiwan, I was very glad to see this new Hello Kitty Playland at one of the terminals.

First we were greeted by this cute Chinese New Year Hello Kitty

Then there’s the nice playground guaranteed to tire a little one out before the next flight :)

Another play area with mini-kitchen, dressers, tables & chairs

Of course, there’s the endless showing of Hello Kitty TV

Even the waiting area chairs didn’t escape the hello Kitty stamp

These were decorating the walls throughout the waiting area. I thought they look very nice.

I love this playarea and I really hope that it will still be in a good condition when we go back the next time. :)

Too many meals a day!

Published by under Useful Links,V

During my 2 weeks vacation, I formed the habit of eating many meals a day. Hey, I was on vacation and there were too much food available!! The roti canai & teh tarik were calling my name! Can you blame me??? :P Anyway, I am not on vacation now but I am finding it hard to break the habit. I seem to be nibbling something all the time. At the rate I am going, I might need to get Orovo detox soon and start losing weight!

Easter Egg Hunt 2008

Published by under Toddler Stuff

It’s 8:30 am, it’s drizzling, it’s cold and what were we doing???

We were lining up for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at a local grocery store!!!

Looking for eggs in the spice section

In the yogurt section

Yes, even in the frozen section! Brrrr……

It was a fun morning. Spend some time opening the eggs and discovering all the surprises inside. Lots of little toys, chocolate eggs & a couple of coupons for free cookies. Too bad we didn’t get the grand prize. Oh well, maybe next year. :)
