Photo Hunter: Metal

by CJ on 21 March, 2008

It seems like it has been a long time since I did Photo Hunters. It’s good to be back. For this week’s theme, I thought I would show a couple of bridges here in the Pacific Northwest.

This one’s called The Bridge of the Gods. It spans the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon.

This is the Deception Pass Bridge. It connects Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island in Washington.

A close up of the Deception Pass Bridge.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend.

These bridges are a great idea for metal! I love the shot of the bridge over deception pass. I’m in Washington for a couple of weeks for Easter. Will be headed back to California soon.
have a great Easter weekend.

Wow! A lot of metal on those pretty bridges. Looks like only small boats can go under the Deception Pass Bridge.

Barbara H. March 21, 2008 at 8:12 pm

Those are beauitful. I am always amazed at the minds that figure out how to make structures like that.

Randi March 21, 2008 at 8:14 pm

I am impressed.
Love the third one!
Happy Easter!

Those are some neat bridges. We have nothing like that here in Eastern Colorado.

pelfy March 21, 2008 at 10:29 pm

Those are amazing shots. I always salute architects and also those who build bridges (or high rise buildings).. Anyway, Happy Easter (=

Great shots of the girders of all those bridges. I’m looking forward to seeing Whidbey Island one of these days. I hear there are lots of beautiful places to see and great B & Bs.

Cool bridges shots you have here. You mentioned about the Deception Pass Bridge and the first thing that came into my mind was Transformers. Both are metals too.. haha :P

FRANCINE March 22, 2008 at 4:13 am

that is indeed metallic! happy easter in advance

Cindy March 22, 2008 at 8:12 am

That’s a lot of metal, and surely makes the bridge safer, but I am still scared of bridges.
My metal is here.

Denise March 22, 2008 at 9:01 am
