I have been wearing glasses since I was 12. It is probably due to the fact that I was reading under the blankets at night with torchlight!! Anyway, I tried wearing contact lens but since I have very high astigmatism, I have to wear special contact lens. Now I have gone back to my glasses because the special contact lens was really uncomfortable and also expensive. I have been thinking about doing Lasik but I am not sure if the astigmatism will make me a less favorable candidate. I guess the only way to find out if I am a suitable candidate will be to make an appointment with my optometrist to find out. Hopefully I qualify.

This reminds me of my Physics teacher back in secondary school. Her eyeseight was so bad that she always had to ask us to look at the time because the clock was placed at the back of the class. Then each time she’d say, “Eh, can someone please go and try Lasik? If nothing goes wrong and you’re not blind then let me know and I’ll do it.” Haha! Talk about being paranoid…
