This is for my aunties who wanted to hear Lil’ C read. If you listen carefully, she tends to mumble a lot and also reads really fast. The fast speed is my fault. I think sometimes I read too fast especially when I am tired. So she picks up the habit. Sigh……
Over the weekend, I took all my winter clothes out of storage to get ready for the cold winter. While rummaging through them, I found some baby clothes and baby bedding hidden among my winter clothes. I didn’t even realize I still had them. I thought I had given them all away but I guess I was wrong. Wonder what I should do with them? I wish I had found them before I had that garage sale last month. Looks like I will probably end up giving them away.
I thought that this week’s theme was a little hard because there were too many to choose from!! Between my travels and living in the Pacific Northwest, I have tons of photos of gorgeous views of Mother nature. In the end, I decided to show some beautiful views of some local attaction.
Snoqualmie Fall and yes, the rainbow is real, not photoshopped. It’s not often that we can see the rainbow that low on the ground and we were very lucky to see the rainbow that day.
Houseboats on Lake Union. Remember Sleepless in Seattle? This is where it can be found. The last I heard, that specific houseboat from that movie was on sale for 2.5 million!!!
A little foggy but the gorgeous Mt. Rainier. It is snow-capped the whole year and it’s still an active volcano!
Lastly a view of downtown Seattle with the Space Needle right in the middle of all the buildings.
Hope you enjoy the local tour. : ) Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Have a great weekend , everyone.
Sometimes I wonder if I am just a little crazy! As if I am not busy enough with all my mommy duties, blogging, photography, homeschooling, chauffering, and baking activities, I got a part-time job! Yup, after many many years of not working, I started working this week. The good thing about this job is that I get to work from home. Hmm…that means more time on the computer. Is that a good thing or bad? These couple of weeks will be a trial period for me to decide if I really like this job and that I am able to juggle my time between all my activities. Let’s see how it all works out.
Lately Lil’ C has been fascinated with the stars, the sun and the moon. She has been asking me so many questions about them like where they came from, what they are made of, why they have light and many more. I think I really need to brush up on my knowledge of astronomy. Yesterday, she even asked me if we could buy the moon. Out of boredom, I checked the internet and to my surprise, you really can!! You can actually buy a piece of the moon by purchasing an officially authorized lunar land claim from Lunar International. Isn’t that interesting? I should check it out further.
It is 45 degrees right now!!! Brrrr…… We were still enjoying the 70s weather last weekend and suddenly this past weekend, it was in the 40s! Rainy, gloomy & cold, I guess fall came in a hurry! Time to dig out all the winter clothes & blankets! Looks like it is time to turn on the heater too. Oh, I am so going to miss my low summer electric bill!! The heater is definitely going to double my electric bill!!!
This is the road that we took while driving around Crater Lake.
While the view from this road is really awesome, the road itself was little scary. it was pretty curvy and the edges were a little too close for comfort. See what I mean?
The driver has to really concentrate on driving because just a little loss of concentration might send you down the steep slope on the side.
Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Have a great weekend , everyone.
Edited to add: I was just the passenger, that’s why I could take the photos. Don’t think that I can take the photo if I was driving. Hehe…
This is SO……..overdue but I finally got around to sorting my photos from the Alaskan cruise. There are too many photos so I am not going to post them individually here. Click HERE to check out my photos in Flickr. It’s not complete yet so I will continue to update them.
Oh, this is so depressing!! The Dow is down over 300 points as of this morning. I thought the 500 point drop was bad enough and now more bad news. Is it ever going to be over? I am watching my retirement fund growing less and less everyday! It is so depressing watching the stock ticker on my laptop every morning. Maybe I should just take it off!! A couple more hours to go and I really really hope that the Dow doesn’t go down anymore!!!
Ever since school started, I am still trying to adjust to the new schedule and routine. Unfortunately that means my diet plan has gone haywire. I have not been able to make it to the gym at all these past 2 weeks! Aargh… I’d better buck up and get myself to the gym very soon and get back on my exercise plan before I get tempted to check out the diet pill reviews. After all, old-fashioned exercise is still the best.
