Blue Skies

Blue Skies

Don’t you just love blue skies? Well I do especially if it’s during the fall season. We have been having amazing weather for the month of October. It is a little unusual to have so many blue sky days. Usually it’s gloomy and rainy this time of the year. Hopefully this is a good sign of a mild winter ahead. Hope you all are having great weather wherever you are. Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend , everyone. :)

Not my favorite chore!

Published by under Useful Links,V

I have to admit I hate cleaning especially the bathroom. Don’t get me wrong. My house is not that messy. I still do clean but I just don’t like it. Luckily I have new Moen faucets in my bathroom. At least they are pretty easy to clean. For a while, I was contemplating hiring a cleaning lady to clean so that I don’t have to do it but the stingy person in me did not allow it. So for now, I guess I will do the job. Who knows, one day the stingy person in me will give in and I will end up hiring a cleaning person.

Too intimidated to exercise!

Published by under Useful Links,V

Recently I started going to the gym again. So far I have only been going to the swimming pool to swim laps. I actually wanted to go the fitness room but when I peeked in the other day, I was a little intimidated. Everyone in there seems to be in really good shape. I really wonder how many hours those people work out every day. I am sure that they must have worked very hard to be in the shape that they are in. Hopefully none of them are taking Trenadrol or any other bodybuilding supplements. As out of shape as I am, maybe one day I will gather up the courage to step into the fitness room and exercise without feeling out of place!

I need to make up my mind soon!!

Published by under Rambling

Lil’ C’s birthday is coming up in less than a month. I can’t believe she’s going to be turning 4!! She’s really growing up too fast. I have been busy trying to plan her birthday party. This year we decided not to do it at home. I am just too lazy to clean up!! Ha! Anyway I am having a hard time trying to decide where to have the party. There are just too many options. Right now it’s a toss-up between the bounce house and the zoo.
As for the cake, Lil’ C has already requested for a specific cake. Actually she has a cake list all the way to her 10th birthday!!! *Yikes!* I guess I’ll worry about that when the time comes. Now I’ve got to figure out how to make this year’s cake!! I’ve also promised to make a cake for C’s best friend whose birthday is one day after her. Looks like it’s going to be a busy November.

New houses for me

Published by under Useful Links,V

Yesterday when I was driving Lil’ C to school, I saw a really nice house for sale. It was a little ranch-style house with lots of yard surrounded by tree. I would love to get a house like that. The only problem is that it is a fixer-upper house. Unlike in Malaysia where it is easy to get a professional to fix the house for a reasonable price, here it is not that easy to get contractors for a good price. Labor is so expensive. That is why most people do it themselves. Unfortunately hubby and I are both DIY-challenged!! Terms like spring plungers, heating cable or plumbing gauges are way beyond our comprehension. So I guess for now, we will just stick to buying new houses like what we have been doing.

Photo Hunter: Scary

Published by under Photo Hunter,Photography

We were at the pumpkin patch yesterday when we saw this SCARY looking Jack-o-lantern. I am sure that it will look scarier when it’s lighted up at night. C was a little afraid of the pumpkin and that was as close as I could get her near the pumpkin.

All muddy and wet!

Published by under Fun Stuff,Kids

Today Lil’ C’s preschool had a field trip to the pumpkin farm. Even though the weather had been awesome the last few days, it decided to rain this morning. Mommy was not a happy camper but Lil’ C was so excited because she got to wear her new rain boots. Luckily the rain decided to stop when we got to the farm but it was still muddy and wet everywhere. Lil’ C and her friends were so excited and started jumping in the mud puddles! I think that was the best part of the field trip!! They took a hayride around the farm and then went to pick pumpkins from the pumpkin garden. After a snack, we headed home with a very mud-caked girl!

A long birthday list

Published by under Useful Links,V

Lil’ C’s birthday is less than a month away. I am still in the middle of planning her birthday party. As for presents, usually she will tell me ahead what kind of present she wants for her birthday. However this year, she can’t seem to make up her mind. I think her want list is too long for her to decide on just one! It looks like I might just have to surprise her. Currently it is toss-up between a doll set and some Amazon books. Knowing her, she will probably like the books better.

Loving the fall leaves

My favorite part of the fall season is definitely watching the leaves change color. Here in the pacific northwest, we are surrounded by evergreen trees which means we do not get those gorgeous fall colors that happens in the New England area. Nevertheless, we still do have some trees that changes color and that to me symbolizes autumn is here. Here are some of the fall colors that I spotted around town.

Gorgeous, aren’t they?

Future golfer?

Published by under I,Useful Links

My dear hubby likes to golf. Unfortunately he does not golf as often as he would like to due to the wet Pacific Northwest weather. So when the sun decided to make a glorious appearance during the weekend, we all headed over to the driving range. Lil’ C also came along with her brand new golf club which daddy got for her. Even though the club is still a little too heavy for her, she had so much fun! She didn’t want to stop even after finishing a whole bucket of golf balls. We only managed to leave after promising to bring her back again. Hopefully we’ll have beautiful weather this weekend again so that we can bring Lil’ C to the driving range again.
