Photo Hunter: Aftermath

by CJ on 9 January, 2009

This week’s theme is Aftermath. I decided to dig out these photos taken way back in September 2004.
These were the aftermath of Hurricane Frances in Florida. We came out of it with minimal damage to the city but the trees got the brunt of the 100+ mile wind force.

Hurricane Aftermath 1
A huge tree that got uprooted and shredded to a little mountain. Notice how big the tree is compared to the truck.

Hurricane Aftermath 2
Another unfortunate tree!

Hurricane Aftermath 3
The banana trees remained standing but they were badly damaged.

2 weeks after this hurricane, we got hit by another hurricane that took almost the same path. Needless to say, it was an interesting hurricane season that year.

Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend, everyone!

We just get a lot of snow in Chicago. I’m scared of the wind, so I guess I shouldn’t move to Florida!

I really feel for you in Hurricane season. They seem to come one after the other and do apalling damage.
