Photo Hunter: Nautical
Filed Under (Photo Hunter, Photography, Travel) by BlurMommy on 02-13-2009

Last summer we went on a cruise to Alaska. Besides stopping at Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka, the cruise also included a cruise around the Hubbard Glacier. The Glacier was just so awesome. While we were enjoying the beautiful scenery, we saw another cruise ship which had just finished cruising around the Glacier. The cruise ship looked so small in front of the huge glacier.
A closer look of the cruise ship as it got closer to the ship that we were on. Check out all the ice floating on the water. It was actually a little nerve-wracking sailing through the ice because we keep hearing all kinds of banging sounds as the ice hits the ship!! : )
Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Happy hunting & have a great weekend, everyone!

Those are wonderful shots. Looks like a fun trip.
Happy weekend.
It actually looked quite scary there with all the loose ice floating about. I’m still visualizing the scene from Titanic..
Happy Valentine’s Day!
That first shot is quite breathtaking! I will get to Alaska someday. And Titanic definitely comes to mind with the ice.
How lucky! Two of my good friends went on the Alaska cruise and I saw the photos they took. They had fun.

now, that will get me paranoid hearing all the bangs on the ship. Nevertheless, the view is just breathtaking especially the one on the first pic.
Your pictures are wonderful! I lived in Alaska for a few years and it sure is beautiful country up there!
That’s one thing I’d been dreaming of doing. Even read up on it last year hoping to find a chance. Well… I’m still dreaming but I’m sure you had FUN!
