Photo Hunter: Nautical

Published by at 5:10 pm under Photo Hunter,Photography,Travel

Last summer we went on a cruise to Alaska. Besides stopping at Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka, the cruise also included a cruise around the Hubbard Glacier. The Glacier was just so awesome. While we were enjoying the beautiful scenery, we saw another cruise ship which had just finished cruising around the Glacier. The cruise ship looked so small in front of the huge glacier.

Cruise ship coming out of Hubbard Glacier

A closer look of the cruise ship as it got closer to the ship that we were on. Check out all the ice floating on the water.  It was actually a little nerve-wracking sailing through the ice because we keep hearing all kinds of banging sounds as the ice hits the ship!! : )

Thanks for visiting my . Happy hunting & have a great weekend, everyone!

It actually looked quite scary there with all the loose ice floating about. I’m still visualizing the scene from Titanic.. :P

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

That first shot is quite breathtaking! I will get to Alaska someday. And Titanic definitely comes to mind with the ice.

That’s beautiful. We were just watching a movie set in Alaska last night and the thing that struck us most was that wild, unspoiled scenery.
