Lil’ C’s official first school project! This was done last month after 100 days of kindergarten. They were supposed to make a poster out of 100 items. So we decided to make one out of 100 pom-poms. Out of these 100 pom-poms, she made a castle with a flag complete with a moat, flower and a caterpillar.
Other 100 days project ideas:
- 100 stickers
- 100 jellybeans
- 100 cheerios or trix
- 100 stamps
- 100 buttons

I stepped on my Wii Fit for the first time in months last night. I really don’t like it when the Wii reminded me how long it has been since I used it. Sigh. I wasn’t very happy either with my Wii age. It’s time to really get back into routine with my Wii Fit again or I might have to look for fat burner soon. I will have to work extra hard these 2 months in preparation for the summer months. I need to be able to fit into my summer clothes again!!

Even though I have been trying to lose weight since I got back from my trip, it does not seem to be materializing. Anyone knows of a real diet pill that works? I guess it might be a good idea to stop my baking frenzy and stay far away from the kitchen during non-meal times. Even though I try to give away all my bakes, a lot of them still end up in my tummy on the pretense of taste testing. Ha! It’s probably a good time to throw that excuse to the trash and start working out instead.

Every year I try to go back to SE Asia for Lil’ C to see her grandparents. Before every trip, my mom will usually prepare a shopping list ready for me. Sometimes it may clothes or kitchen gadget but usually it will be all sorts of vitamins and supplements like Fish Oil, joint supplement, Multivitamins or Kids Gummy Vitamins. These vitamins and supplements are very expensive where they are at. That’s why they are always at the top of her shopping list.

It was DH’s birthday yesterday!! Yup, he hits the big 4-0!! I didn’t get him a gift, instead we went out to his favorite restaurant and he got to order everything that he likes. A huge meat-lover, we went to a BBQ restaurant and he ordered every kind of meat they had! That is a huge treat for him since he usually does not get to order to his heart’s content. Yikes! I am so glad that his birthday is only once a year or even the best cholesterol treatments won’t help him. He is such a carnivore!

It was a rough night last night. Lil’C was up almost all night with a stuffy nose. I am pretty sure it’s a cold but it could also be allergies. Somehow this year, the pollen count is very high and so are the allergies. Anyway I was also up with her all night helping her to breathe better. I am so tired today. I am even too tired to eat! It is even better than taking weight loss pills. We decided to skip school today too. Hopefully a day of rest will help her to feel better otherwise I might have more sleepless nights in sight.

Time really flies! I can’t believe that my nephew is already in high school. I still remember when he was a little kid. But now he has already started checking out colleges for his college education. Wow, I am seriously getting old. Anyway, back to my nephew, even though he hasn’t really decided what higher education he plans to pursue yet, I know that he is planning to take the lsat prep soon. It is still a little early but I think it is better to make preparations earlier so that there is no last minute panic to meet college entrance deadlines. I hope that by taking the lsat prep he will be able to do better on his LSAT and enter a good law school.

Now that my girl has gone through almost seven months of kindergarten, I realize that the education system that she is going through is totally different from the one that I went through. My education system was totally academic which means that there were lots of memorization, tests and basically straight from the textbook education. As for Lil’ C, I would say that the education system for her is more fun and definitely more creative. Every week she also has show and tell where she has to bring something related to the curriculum of the week and give a little speech in front of the class. The great thing is that she totally loves that! I guess she is not going to have public speaking anxiety when she grows up. At this moment I really can’t decide which education system is better. The best would be a combination of both. Hopefully there is a school nearby that provides the best of both education system.

I am supposed to be fixing my blog but for the past couple of hours I have been surfing the internet and doing some green shopping instead! I love online shopping! Nowadays it is so hard to go shopping with a whiny kid in tow. Doing my shopping online is so easy and convenient. Just find the product, pay for it and then it’s there on the front steps of the house a couple of days later. It is also good for the environment since I am not driving my car around. The only con that I see with online shopping is the damage to my wallet!! Oops, better hide my credit card bill next month.
