Just My Rambling

Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to the mall we go. I love to go to the mall during this season. I love to check out all the holiday displays and window shop. I usually do my shopping online, so I don’t get any x-mas presents there but sometimes I will stumble upon something unique and interesting and that gets added on to my list. Speaking of Christmas, this year we will be spending Christmas with out-of-state family and visiting a very special place that is a little girl’s dream. I can’t wait for Christmas.

It definitely feels like winter this week. It was cold, wet and windy. I even turned on the fireplace for the first time this season. When it is so cold, I always feel like a bear. I want to snuggle under a warm blanket and hibernate for the season. I guess that is not going to help to build muscles. It’s probably a good time to pull out the Wii and get some exercise since I don’t think I will ever make it to the gym on a cold dreary day.

Besides all the hair loss due to stress, I think I am going to need a serious acne treatment soon. Just when I thought I would be too old to be getting acne, they appear! I guess it is not just a teen year problem. It’s an ongoing problem. Sigh . .know of any good acne treatment, anyone? Hopefully if I drink a lot of water and get more rest this week, it will all go away.

I can’t believe that this is the last week of October. How did the time pass so fast? Usually end of the year is a crazy time for me. There will be lots of birthday parties, holiday parties, school parties, vacation and more. Ha! I didn’t realize it but I guess it is party galore for me at year end. I have lots of party planning and gift buying to do. No wonder I have stress hair loss! Next year I need to be more organized and start all my planning and purchasing ahead so that I won’t be so stressed out on last minute decisions.

Last week, I was at a holiday gift show. It was my first time attending such a show and I was totally amazed at all the products that were available. It is amazing how creative people are. I bought some early Christmas gifts including dog breed stockings for a friend and photo frames for another friend. I am so glad that I can start marking off my Christmas gift list.

This week has been a crazy week. I have been working at a trade show and it has been really fun. Even though the number of visitors has been less than expected, it was ok because I took the opportunity to check out all the other booths at the trade show. All I can say is”Wow! “ there are a lot of talented people out there. There were also some informational booths there too. I even managed to pick out brochures on how to increase breast milk production for a friend who’s due soon. This is my trade show and even though it has been exhausting, it has been fun and a good learning experience.

I can’t believe it is almost Christmas already. All the stores are already filled with Christmas decorations even though it is more than 2 months away. Even though I am not big on Christmas gifts, I usually end up getting them for other occasions. That is because a lot of the gifts available during this time are all specially packaged and usually are not available the rest of the year. I am planning to stock up some toys for some birthdays coming up in the next couple of months. Maybe I should get a box of Davidoff cigars for DH’s new colleagues. I think it’s time to go shopping next week.

Lil’ C had a jogathon in school today. We had a panic moment last night because we realized that we were supposed to wear athletic wear instead of uniform for school today. Why panic? Because my dear princess daughter does not have any athletic wear! Her wardrobe consists of all things pink and frilly. I almost had to resort to altering men’s running shorts to make her attire but luckily a last minute trip to the store yielded a nice athletic attire that even the princess approves. So now if we ever have any more sports events, we are set.

It’s been a while since I last blogged. Life has just been so crazy these couple of weeks. I have been working on a big project for a while now and next week is the deadline. So I am totally stressed out. Today I was out all day buying pens, ink stamps and all sorts of supplies in preparation for next week. Sigh, if only there were more than 24 hours in a day. Then maybe I can get everything done including taking care of my poor neglected blog.

What is your least favorite household chore? For me, it’s cleaning the house especially the bathroom. I don’t mind cooking or doing laundry but cleaning, that’s a different story. If I ever go back to work, the first thing I would do is to hire a cleaning company to clean my house every week. For now, that is a luxury that I can’t afford. Maybe I should make everyone clean their own bathroom and maybe I should get a new hair loss shampoo because there seems to be hair everywhere especially in the bathroom! Sigh… time to stop whining and get back to cleaning.
