Wait! Is this the end of November already? Whatever happen to it? It went by so fast and we are now moving into December already. Unbelievable! Last week was another crazy week. Instead of getting ready for Thanksgiving, we ended up being snowed in for 4 days! Even though we expected snow, it ended up to be more snow than expected. Since we lived up in the hills, we were pretty much stranded since the roads were iced up. We didn’t even get out to buy turkey. But thanks to some generous friends, we did end up eating a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Since we were stuck at home for so many days, we ended up doing a lot of online shopping and getting lots of good deals. It’s amazing how much deals are available online! Thankfully we were able to stop ourselves from buying too much unnecessary stuff like poc cartor telescope even if they were great deals. I think next year we will definitely stick with online shopping instead of going out.

This year the weather has been rather weird. We had a long summer and all of a sudden it’s winter already. It seems like we skipped the fall season. I wanted to take some fall photos but the leaves didn’t even had the chance to completely change color before they all dropped due to the heavy wind and rain. I didn’t even have the chance to put out my Autumn flower bouquets. I might as well just bypass that and set up my Christmas tree and other winter decorations this weekend.

Anyone plan their Thanksgiving menu yet? I was at Costco yesterday and it was like a madhouse! Everyone seemed to have a whole cartful of groceries. It looks like everyone is getting ready for a major feast next week. I wonder if they will be checking out the top ten diet pills next weekend. I think I will! We are getting together with friends for a major foodfest too. Hopefully I will stuff myself too much. Maybe I should set up the Wii so that we can do some exercise in between all the eating!

I am so exhausted! November is usually a crazy month for me. Besides Thanksgiving, it’s also Lil’ C and her best friend’s birthday, thus lots of party preparation and cake baking. Not only that, there are always many no-school days in November due to teacher conferences and in-service days. I don’t know why everything seems to be packed into these 2 months. Right now I am struggling to stay awake. I guess I definitely do not need any sleep pills to help me fall asleep today. I wonder if they have stay awake pills. I think maybe a cup of coffee is very much needed now.

It’s finally snowing!!! Technically it is not snowing at my house yet but it is snowing in the mountains now. It is the first snow of the season. The weather forecast predicts that it will be snowing around my place this weekend. I guess my designer furniture shopping trip might have to be cancelled because if it really snows, I want to be out there playing with snow, sitting in front of the fireplace and drinking hot chocolate. Hopefully the weather forecast comes true this weekend.

DH is into mountain biking lately. Since we already have a bike, he does not have to spend too much money to indulge in the hobby. Do you realize that every sport that you take part in, you will spend a lot of money buying the equipments and accessories? Hopefully DH will stick with mountain biking and not get into other new hobbies for now. As long as I don’t hear any request for any Polaris Sportsman ATV Parts, he can play with his mountain bike all he wants.

Christmas is less than 2 months away. Have you made your wish list yet? I am not big on Christmas presents, so my list is very short. All I want are a couple of books and some matouk linens. Short, eh? I just feel that I have everything I need, so why ask for anything more. This year I plan to teach Lil’ C the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it. I am really hoping that she will not get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas.

I know, I think I am crazy! As if I do not have enough to do, I started another new project. Ta da…… here’s what I had been working on. My new jewelry and gifts business – Kokiri Treasures.

Need any gifts for the holidays? Don’t forget to check it out.

Now that Lil’ C is in full-time school, she hardly has time to join other activities. So whenever her school offers any after-school activities, I will try to let her join. That way I don’t have to drive all over town trying to get her to other activities. Saving time and gas is at the top of my priority list now. Anyway, one of the latest classes that the school offers is hip-hop. Since Lil’ C loves to dance, I think this will be a good class for her but before I enroll her, I will have to go get her some hip hop clothes because I am sure that pink princess dance outfits will not be appropriate for that class.
