2 years ago I started a small business with a friend. It was definitely an eye-opener experience. The product aspect was fun. It was fun designing and making crafts. However the business aspect was not fun at all! Even though it was a small business, it was still a business. So the process of getting all the different business licenses cannot be avoided whether it is a 10 million dollar business or a 10 dollar business. It was a huge learning curve. We had to learn about credit card processing, Retail POS System, business taxes, inventory system and much more. Frankly the business aspect really drained all the fun out of the creative fun aspect of the products. I think if I ever start another business, I would outsource everything so that I can concentrate on developing the products!
