Before I started blogging, I had no clue how important a good web host can be. Now that I have been blogging for a while, I realized that the most important part of a good blog is to make sure that you have a good web host. Sure it is important to have a nice fancy template and latest plugins but all those are useless without a stable web host. You will lose a lot of readers if your blog has frequent down time.

My contract with my web host will be ending soon. So far I am happy with my web host. However it does not hurt to look around at other options first before renewing my plan for next year. I like to check out Web Hosting Geeks for their top 10 web hosting review. It lists the features, prices and even reviews for each web host. They even have a list of green web host. Green web hosts use alternative energy, plant trees, recycle waste and purchase RECs to power their datacenters. Maybe this year I will sign up for green hosting to play my little part in saving the environment.

When I was still in college in the Midwest, my friends and I used to love to go to Branson for weekend trips. We loved going to Silver Dollar City, a unique theme park filled with arts and crafts of the early 1900s. After a day of fun, we would either go for the dinner cruise aboard the Showboat Branson Belle or catch one of the live shows in town. It has been many years since I last visited Branson. I heard that it has changed a lot. I would love to revisit Branson again and check out all the changes for myself.

However this time around, I will definitely not be staying at the cheap hotels like those college days. I think a stay at either the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel will be very nice. What will we do there? Revisit all my old haunts and of course check out the new attractions. I will love to bring my 4 year old to Silver Dollar City. She will not be old enough for the rides yet but she will love to see all the crafts of the yesteryears.

When we were on our Alaskan cruise last summer, my daughter loved the dinner shows. So a dinner show aboard the Showboat Branson Belle is definitely on the itinerary. We will also plan to attend some live shows as well. Wow, that’s a lot of things to do. I think I will have to start planning my trip soon.

Christmas is just around the corner and I really need to start getting ready to send out my Christmas cards soon. Since most of my family lives overseas, I usually try to send out Christmas cards by the end of November so that they will receive the cards on time. This year I have been checking out the Holiday Photo Cards at StudioStyle.com. They have a lot of beautiful designs to choose from. What do you think of this card that I have chosen? My dear hubby likes to golf. Unfortunately he does not golf as often as he would like to due to the wet Pacific Northwest weather. So when the sun decided to make a glorious appearance during the weekend, we all headed over to the driving range. Lil’ C also came along with her brand new golf club which daddy got for her. Even though the club is still a little too heavy for her, she had so much fun! She didn’t want to stop even after finishing a whole bucket of golf balls. We only managed to leave after promising to bring her back again. Hopefully we’ll have beautiful weather this weekend again so that we can bring Lil’ C to the driving range again.

Do you know what is at the top of my to-buy list? A hybrid car!! Even though the gas prices have gone down a little, it is still too high for my liking. My gas bill has been very high ever since my daughter started preschool which is quite far from my house. I think a hybrid car will be great for me. A free hybrid car will be even better, don’t you think? That is the reason I am checking out Charter.

This summer we travelled a lot and we were very glad that the air conditioning in our car was working well. It would have been a torture to make a road trip in the hot humid summer weather with air conditioning.
