What do you eat in the summer? For us, the grill has been a great partner this summer. I have 3 grills in the house. I am not kidding! My grill-crazy husband loves his grills. He uses different grills for different purpose. One of them is a portable grill that we bring to the park all the time. Do you notice that even the normal food taste better on the grill? My current grilled foods are peaches and asparagus. Yum! Now where are my appetite suppressants? There are still one and half more months of summer grilling!

We have been doing a lot of camping these couple of years. So we were thinking it might be a good idea to invest in an RV or a trailer. I am not talking about those huge RV. I am thinking more of either a pop-up trailer or an AirStream. The only obstacle stopping us from buying an RV is that we do not have a place to store the RV when not in use. There is a RV storage near our house but it’s an open-air storage. I wish it was a storage that has metal buildings to store the RV to protect it from all the rain that we get here. If I am going to spend so much on something, I want to keep it as long as possible without worrying about damage from the weather.

Wow, it has been 3 weeks since I last blog here in this blog! It has been so hard to blog since summer holidays began. We have been having lots of playdates and activities. We’ve even gone camping twice. We had so much going on that I had to stop a couple activities and declared those days to be pajama days. I was so exhausted. I think age is really catching up. Maybe some supplements from http://www.besthghsupplements.net can help to boost up some energy. Gosh, I really cannot keep up with the young ones. Maybe it’s a good time to put them into a couple of sports camp. That way I can rest while they can run off some of their energy.

It’s summer and that means camping season has started! We had a late start this year due to the unusually cold summer. Nevertheless we braved the cold and went on our first camping trip of the year. We went to a nearby lake and had so much fun. The weather turned out really great for most of the trip. We rented a boat and went out on the lake for some fishing and just relaxing. Since the weather was so nice, we took so many photos of the gorgeous scenery that I think I will have to get another external hard drive just to keep those photos. I can’t wait for our next camping trip in a couple of weeks. Hopefully the weather will warm up a little by then.

My little princess-crazed girl has been asking if we could go on Disney vacations soon. It is too bad we moved away from Florida when she was little. It would have been a lot cheaper to visit Disney World if we are Florida residents. Oh well, I guess we should start saving up if we are going to Disneyland sometime soon. I am really hoping to visit Disneyland end of this year but it all depends if I can earn enough money for the trip.

One more day before summer vacation starts! Yay!!! That means camping season is here. So far we have booked a couple of campsites and a log cabin for this summer. Even though the log cabin was a little more expensive than we had hoped for, I just couldn’t give it up. I love log cabins and all its rustic furniture. If I have a choice, I would love to live in a log cabin instead of a house but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen unless we move out to the country. So I guess I will have to rely on my summer vacations to enjoy my log cabins for now.

Lil’ C has been learning piano for almost 2 years now. So far I would say that she has been pretty good about practicing most of the time. There are times when she just got too distracted with too many activities that she forgets about practicing piano. Lately she has been asking for drum lessons because she saw a set of stainless steel drums that she really likes. I have been thinking about whether to send her for lessons or not. I think I will just wait a while to see if she still asks for the drums in a few months. Hopefully it’s just a temporary thing.

Ouch, I just stepped on a Lego piece! That hurts! Sigh, when my girl is ever going to learn to clean up her toys after playing with them. I have tried the reward system but it doesn’t seem to work. I would like to try the “throwaway” system but I can’t bring myself to throw away her toys. Maybe I can do a pretend throwaway and that means I will hide everything that does not get put away and pretend that I have thrown it away. Maybe that will help her to realize that she needs to clean up her toys or she will not have many toys left after a week.

As I mentioned in the last post, last weekend was my last garage sale for the summer. I picked up the unsold stuff from my friend’s house on Monday. I didn’t have much stuff left. So I went through all the stuff to decide whether to throw them away or donate them to Goodwill since I really do not want to bring all those things back into the house again. This morning I separated them into 3 separate piles in my garage. One for thrash, one for Goodwill and one for the unfamiliar things that I found in my things like pulse oximeters and silverware. I think they got mixed up when my friend packed up my garage sale stuff. I will have to check with my friend to see if she knows who owns them else it will end up in the thrash.

I can’t believe the weekend is here already. It feels like I missed a few days in between. Time flies when you are busy. Today was another crazy day. We had another garage sale! That’s the third sale in a month. Since it was a multifamily sale, we had a playdate during the garage sale. The kids had a playdate and the mommies enjoyed a mini buffet while managing the garage sale. There was so much food because everyone brought something to share. I ate so much that I even skipped dinner. I think this will be my last garage sale for the summer because if we continue our eating session like what we had today, I will be in big trouble. Even if I order order Phentermine, it won’t be able to help me. Yikes!
