Archive for the Pacific Northwest Category

I thought that this week’s theme was a little hard because there were too many to choose from!! Between my travels and living in the Pacific Northwest, I have tons of photos of gorgeous views of Mother nature. In the end, I decided to show some beautiful views of some local attaction.

Snoqualmie Fall and yes, the rainbow is real, not photoshopped. :) It’s not often that we can see the rainbow that low on the ground and we were very lucky to see the rainbow that day.

Houseboats on Lake Union. Remember Sleepless in Seattle? This is where it can be found. The last I heard, that specific houseboat from that movie was on sale for 2.5 million!!!

A little foggy but the gorgeous Mt. Rainier. It is snow-capped the whole year and it’s still an active volcano!

Lastly a view of downtown Seattle with the Space Needle right in the middle of all the buildings.

Hope you enjoy the local tour. : ) Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend , everyone. :)

Every year I look forward to 2 months - April & July. Why? Because the tulips bloom in April and the lavenders bloom in July. Every year I always try to visit the tulip & lavender farms. I never seem to get tired of it. The lavender farms are not as colorful as the tulip farms but they definitely smell a lot better. Imagine a whole field filled with the fragrance of lavender….. Mmmmm ….. :)

This year we were a little early to the lavender farms because I wanted to bring my parents there before they leave. The lavenders were not in full bloom, so we only saw a couple of patches of lavender instead of the entire field. They were still pretty though.

Apparently ladybugs love lavenders too! There were a lot of ladybugs amongst the lavenders that day.

When my parents were in town, we visited many local tourist attractions. One of them was the Museum of Flight which is one of the largest air and space museum around.

The museum is pretty big and it has lots of airplanes on display. According to their fact sheet, there is more than 150 historically significant air and spacecraft on display.

Even flight engines are on display too.

Museum Of Flight 4

It is an interesting place but if you are not into aviation, this is not the place to be. My nephew will love this place since he loves all sorts of plane. Lil’ C is not quite into aviation stuff yet so she got a little bored. Then she discovered this little corner for kids.

She got to ride in an airplane and loved it. There were also some games in there. It was hard to pull her away from this play area.

Would I visit again? Only if I have a visitor who is an aviation buff.

My parents will be staying with me for another 2 weeks. Lil’ C is also out of school. So for this week, I will be playing tour guide again so that I don’t have 3 bored people in the house. My parents have already done the Seattle sights from Part 1. I am trying to figure out where else to bring them. Here’s my list so far.

Let’s see if the weather will cooperate this week. Otherwise we might just end up visiting the local malls. :)
