After a long break, here’s my entry for the Photo Hunt this week. The theme is Rocks and here is a very rocky beach full of rocks.

This is how a lot of the beaches around the Puget Sound look like. It really took me by surprise when I first saw it because I was expecting nice sandy beaches like those in Florida. But the nice thing about these beaches are the the rocks are very smooth. My girl loves to try to skip rocks with them.
Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Have a great weekend and for those in US, enjoy your long weekend!

I realize that I have the habit of taking photos of DH and Lil’ C from the back!
That’s because I am always lingering behind with my camera taking photos of everything!! Usually they will get tired of waiting for me and just go ahead while I catch up with them later.
When I catch up with them, I always cannot resist the temptation to take a photo of them walking hand in hand. Love the moment!
Anyway, every April, the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom at the University of Washington. So 2 weeks ago, we went to check them out. Here they are again walking hand in hand around the campus and admiring the cherry blossoms.
There were white ones and pink ones too.

More cherry blossoms . . .

I love spring and all the flowers! Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Happy hunting & have a great weekend, everyone!

After years of crowded city living, hopefully someday I will be able to live in a place with wide open SPACE like this in Oregon. Of course, the great view will be an added bonus.

Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Happy hunting & have a great weekend, everyone!
For the past 2 days, we have been waking up to a blanket of snow. We don’t have as much snow as the East Coast but I think we are having way too much snow days for this area. It has also been super cold which means we have been turning up the heater. Sigh, I guess we will be another expensive electric bill next month. Usually our electric bill triples in the winter. It is always very low in the summer since we don’t use heater and we don’t have air-conditioning. I wonder if it will be cheaper to get a heated blanket instead of turning up the heater to the whole house. I really should check into that.
Took some of these photos the past couple of days. I just love them especially the first one.

Couldn’t resist taking this one. Poor Mr. Snowman getting buried by the snow.

A little backdated but I just had to post this first snowfall that we had this winter. Last Sunday, we woke up to this gorgeous view. Snow on the mountain

and some accumulation on the balcony. There wasn’t that much snow but it was enough for the little one to have some fun in the snow.

Love the snow on the branches

Some drivers have been playing ice-skating on the road!!

Last weekend we were at Seattle Center checking out all the WinterFest activities. There were so many fun things to see but this was probably Lil’ C’s FAVORITE FUN PLACE. It had her screaming & laughing the whole time we were there. Why? Check out the photos to see the reason….
At first glance, it was just a calm half-dome structure

Then people started going nearer & touching the dome

Oh-oh….. run, run, run . . . . . . .

Here comes the water!!! Some people got caught by the water & were soaked.

The water fountain in full blast. See the couple of kids waiting on the side for the next opening to get to the center without getting soaked?

Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Have a great weekend , everyone!
My favorite part of the fall season is definitely watching the leaves change color. Here in the pacific northwest, we are surrounded by evergreen trees which means we do not get those gorgeous fall colors that happens in the New England area. Nevertheless, we still do have some trees that changes color and that to me symbolizes autumn is here. Here are some of the fall colors that I spotted around town.

Gorgeous, aren’t they?

I thought that this week’s theme was a little hard because there were too many to choose from!! Between my travels and living in the Pacific Northwest, I have tons of photos of gorgeous views of Mother nature. In the end, I decided to show some beautiful views of some local attaction.

Snoqualmie Fall and yes, the rainbow is real, not photoshopped.
It’s not often that we can see the rainbow that low on the ground and we were very lucky to see the rainbow that day.

Houseboats on Lake Union. Remember Sleepless in Seattle? This is where it can be found. The last I heard, that specific houseboat from that movie was on sale for 2.5 million!!!

A little foggy but the gorgeous Mt. Rainier. It is snow-capped the whole year and it’s still an active volcano!

Lastly a view of downtown Seattle with the Space Needle right in the middle of all the buildings.
Hope you enjoy the local tour. : ) Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt. Have a great weekend , everyone.
