This week’s theme is candy and so here are some jellybeans.

Speaking of jellybeans, meet Mr JellyBelly! The following photos were taken at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, California.

The fancy jellybelly car

This picture is made up of thousands of jelly beans. This is one of the smaller ones. There were others that were much bigger.  I can’t imagine how long they took to put a picture together.

It was a cold 40 degree weekend and guess what we did? We went camping!! We just got tired of waiting for the warm weather to get here. Usually it’s in the 60s by this time of the year.

We got a new tent this year to accomodate the little one.

Gorgeous view from the campsite.

Thanks for visiting Weekend Snapshot. Have a great week, everyone!

I finally made it out to the 2008 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival two weekends ago. This festival is held in April every year. Usually by the end of April, the blooms are all gone but the bizarre cold weather this year has really affected the tulips. Even though we were there at the end of April, some tulip didn’t bloom, some just started blooming while others are already at full bloom. The tulips were gorgeous but it probably would have been better if everyone of them were in full bloom. Hope you enjoy the photos.

My favorite time of the night. It’s supposed to be 9 pm but I missed it by 9 minutes. Oh well, it’s close enough. Anyway, 9 pm is bedtime for my little one. As much as I love her, I really love it when she goes to bed. Then it’s my time to do whatever I want whether it’s blogging, reading a book, or watching TV. It’s just a time for me to relax before the day ends. What about you? What is your favorite time of the day?

Summer is just around the corner and that means it’s camping time! This weekend, we went to a nearby park to check out the camping ground. Look what we found…… Yurts!

I have never heard of yurts until I started camping. According to wiki, “a yurt is a portable, felt-covered, wood lattice-framed dwelling structure used by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia” These yurts can be found in many of the state parks but this particular park has just added them recently. They can be rented for USD40 a night. Most of them has a bunk bed in them.

Close up of the yurts:

Don’t you think they look very cute? We’re planning to try them out this summer. It will definitely different from tent camping.

What’s so unique about this sign?

Usually speed limits are posted at 10 mph, 15 mph, 20 mph and so on. Rarely can you find one that says 9 mph, don’t you agree? :) Actually the person-in-charge did that on purpose, hoping that drivers will take a second look and really do slow down.

Edited to add: This speed limit is located in a housing community that’s why it’s super slow. :)

It’s a little cloudy but the blue sky finally made a grand entrance after been missing for 2 days. This weekend, we had a miserable weekend of snow, sleet and even hail! It is such a joy to see the blue sky even if it’s just for an hour before it’s night time. The weather has been a little crazy lately. Normally the temperature is in the 60s this time of the year but it was been in the 30s the past 2 days. I was planning to show beautiful tulip photos this weekend but the plan to visit the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival had to be cancelled due to the snow. Hopefully the tulips will still be in bloom next week!

Hope the weather’s great wherever you are. Have a great week, everyone!

What can you find scattered all over the house when you have a 3 year old? Crayons!!! With no difficulty, I managed to find 13 of them immediately. They make great photos, don’t they?

I am so glad that they make washable crayons nowadays. Don’t you agree? Now I don’t have to worry about my little one drawing on places where she’s not supposed to. The crayon marks come right off with a wet wipe. It definitely makes my life easier.

Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend.

I was looking high and low all over the house trying to find something that will fit this week’s theme. Then I realized that it was under my nose all this while!! It had been sitting on my kitchen window all along. It’s my lucky bamboo plant. Isn’t it cute? I just love how the plant is all twisted up!

Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend.

It seems like it has been a long time since I did Photo Hunters. It’s good to be back. For this week’s theme, I thought I would show a couple of bridges here in the Pacific Northwest.

This one’s called The Bridge of the Gods. It spans the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon.

This is the Deception Pass Bridge. It connects Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island in Washington.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for visiting my . Have a great weekend.
