I am starting to panic because it just dawned on me that my parents will be here in less than 2 weeks. My house is in a mess and I still have not gotten all my furniture yet. Unfortunately I am also very broke after paying for my cruise vacation. Looks like I will have to do some serious hunting for discount furniture this week or my parents will have to sit and sleep on the floor. I don’t think they will like that at all.

I went to Costco a couple of days ago & saw these beauties . . . .

Yay! The strawberries are here! A 4 lb box for 6 dollars. Love it! I know that some grocery stores sell them cheaper but I love the ones we get at Costco. The strawberries are always very sweet & huge. When strawberries start appearing at Costco, it usually means that the other berries will start appearing soon. Can’t wait for that to happen.

Valentine’s Day is coming up next week. Do you have special plans with that special someone? As for me, I don’t have any special plans yet. Before my husband and I got married, he used to send me gorgeous roses. However, it has been a while since I received any flowers. He always seems to forget about Valentine’s Day nowadays. Hmm, I think I should direct his attention to 1-800-flowers.com. They have really gorgeous valentines day roses. It is so easy to order online from 1-800-flowers.com that he would not be able to use the excuse that he is too busy to go to the florist. Maybe If I remind him everyday for the next few days, he might get the message and send me these beautiful pink, white & red valentine roses.

If you are a Bento fan, then you will be interested to know that a new Daiso just opened up recently in the Bay Area. The new store is in the New Park Mall in Fremont, California. It’s next to Sears and it opened right after Christmas 2007. So if you are looking for Bento supplies, this is the place to go.

I have been busy going through the Black Friday ads & checking to see if there’s anything interesting enough to inspire me to wake up at 4 am to go shopping!! Last 2 years, I wasn’t interested in those big-ticket items, so I went around 7 am and got some small items. Those usually don’t run out as fast as the big items. Anyone going shopping at BF this year? ok, off to check more ads
Oh, for those not in US, BF is the day after Thanksgiving & it’s the biggest shopping day of the year. Usually stores open around 4-5 am!! :)

I do!! It seems like I have been shopping like crazy the last couple of weeks. There seems to be so many birthdays within these 2 months, including Lil’ C’s! We’ll be having a small party for her at the house this weekend. So I’ve been getting party supplies and also getting some stuff for the house too. I’m trying to the house ready for guests since it’s still kinda bare right now. This will be the first time we’ll be having a party at the house since we moved in. Then there’s the Christmas shopping too. I think I am a little afraid of shopping already especially when they swipe my credit card! I think I will faint when I receive my credit card bill next month!!

Admit it, who doesn’t love a bargain? Personally, I love bargains and my current favorite haunt is Techbargains.com. With all the computer geeks in my family, tech gifts are the best and most appreciated Christmas gifts.
Techbargains has all the latest bargain news and exclusive deals. It also sends out a free e-newsletter with all the best deals of the week. If you are too busy to read through the entire newsletter, you can choose to receive deal alerts which can be customized to your interests. Techbargains.com is also updated 24/7, even on weekends and holidays so you don’t have to worry about missing out on any hot deals.
There are also coupons and rebates on techbargains. In fact, the dell coupons will come in very handy for me because my husband has promised to get me a Dell laptop for Christmas this year. My husband has his eyes on the HDTV. I guess I better go check out the best deals available for HDTV.
If you are looking for great deals on tech gifts this Christmas, then make sure you drop by Techbargains.com and check them out. You will be able to buy the latest tech products without burning a hole in your pocket.

After months of procrastinating, I finally bought a new compact camera to replace my broken one. There are so many models available till I got so confused. But finally I decided to get the Canon SD850. It may not be the thinnest or smallest model but the reason I bought it is because of the image stabilization factor. Last year I bought a SD650 and many photos turn out shaky. That’s why to me, image stabilization is the most important priority. So far, this camera has proven to be a good buy. Photos are coming out really nice.

I have been looking for a special clock for my new house. I want something that looks nice and yet interesting. Yes, I know it’s a tall order but guess what, I think I may have found the perfect one at 1-800-4Clocks.com.
What do you think? Isn’t it nice? It’s definitely unique and looks awesome. Frankly I have always loved grandfather clocks but somehow they never seem to fit in with the look of my furnishings. But this particular clock looks modern and yet has a nostalgic feel to it and the best part is that it fits right in with my furnishings. This Howard Miller Cosmopolitan Grandfather Clock will look great in my formal living room.
I found a very useful article in the GrandfatherClocksBlog.com which is actually the blog of 1-800-4Clocks.com. Anyway, the article gives a basic guideline on how to move a grandfather clock. Since I love to move furniture around, this is a perfect article for me. I will make sure that I take note of the guidelines and follow them when I decide to rearrange my furnishings.
Besides getting a great price on this grandfather clock, I will also be getting free shipping and free in-home setup. In fact, the free shipping applies to any order over $100. So, if you have also been searching for the perfect clock, take a look at 1-800-4Clocks.com. I’m sure you will be able to find a clock to your liking.
