Ever since school started, I am still trying to adjust to the new schedule and routine. Unfortunately that means my diet plan has gone haywire. I have not been able to make it to the gym at all these past 2 weeks! Aargh… I’d better buck up and get myself to the gym very soon and get back on my exercise plan before I get tempted to check out the diet pill reviews. After all, old-fashioned exercise is still the best.

All of Lil’C’s school and enrichment activities are in full swing this week. That means I have once again been relegated to my chauffeuring duties again. So far, it has been exhausting driving her from one school to another and from one activity to another. I think I might have to reduce some of her activities or I might just end up needing acne treatments from the stress of driving.

I guess I don’t really fully understand the real estate market. Everyday the news reports are reporting on the decline of the housing market and yet there are so many new constructions around my house. In fact, they started another new construction right behind my house last week. It is making my house so dusty that I think I need to buy an IQAir Purifier soon to prevent my hubby from getting his dust allergies. I just can’t wait for the constructions to be over. I am just curious how they are going to be able to sell all those new houses!

My husband works in the downtown area and everyone knows that parking in downtown in crazily expensive. It costs about $20 per day!! With the high parking and high gas price, he has been taking the bus to work. After all his company gives him a free bus pass, so why not use that instead of paying $30 a day for parking & gas. So far he loves the bus ride especially since he doesn’t have to fight traffic. The only complaint he has is that it is boring sitting on the bus with nothing to do. He can’t read a book on a moving vehicle due to motion sickness. That is why he has been thinking of listening to an audio book instead. That way he won’t get bored in the bus.

Everytime I go downtown, I can’t help but notice that there are a lot of new constructions going on. Some are residential but most of them are new office buildings. The list of vacant commercial real estate is so long nowadays, so it makes me wonder if they are going to be able to lease out all those office buildings or not. It will be such a waste if those nice buildings end up remaining vacant.

Last weekend was the Labor Day weekend and even though it was a 3 day weekend, we decided not to go anywhere. We had just returned from a week’s vacation in Oregon and thought it was a good idea to become couch potatoes for 3 days to recover from our vacation. Anyway, the couch potato idea did not work because we ended up reorganizing the house. We converted our loft area which originally was our office area into an entertainment area. Then we moved the entire office area to the basement. Now I have so much space in my new office area. Maybe I should put in a little snack area complete with bar counter and bar sinks. Since I don’t drink, I will use it as a tea counter and a snack counter for Lil’ C. That way I don’t have to keep running upstairs to the kitchen whenever we needed some snacks.

This summer has been such a crazy summer filled with lots of travelling. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately that fun also comes with something not so nice – weight gain!!! Sigh!! Skipping the gym over the summer did not help either. I was looking over the top rated diet pills list over the internet and was so tempted to check them out. However now that summer is over and with no travel plans in sight, I think I will start going to the gym and also watch what I eat. I am sure I will be able to lose my summer weight gain through this old fashioned way.

Lil’ C loves animals and recently she has been asking for a pet. She wanted a cat or a dog. Unfortunately I don’t think that she is getting her wish fulfilled anytime soon. Seriously I don’t think I can afford to keep a pet. The dog or cat supplies, grooming and even medical care all cost money. I guess Lil’ C will have to wait till she can earn her own money before she gets a pet.

My little girl will be starting elementary school in a couple of years. That is why I have been thinking about moving to another town that has a good school district so that my girl can go to a good school. Unfortunately most of the houses in that town are quite old. If we finally decide to buy an old house there, I will make sure to hire a good house inspector to make sure that there isn’t any form of asbestos in the house especially since exposure to asbestos causes mesothelioma.

I am typing this on a porch of a gorgeous huge house in the mountain in Oregon. The kids are all asleep peacefully after an exhausting 3 hour walk around this mountain retreat. Ahh… peace…. Well, at least for an hour or two before they wake up!
It is so nice here to be out in the nature after a long drive here yesterday. Yesterday, we arrived in 4 cars with 9 adults, 4 kids and 2 babies. All of us had our car packed to the brim!!. It’s amazing how much stuff you have to bring when you have a child. Next time, I think we will have to get a truck rental to fit everything we need.
We’ll be going to Crater Lake tomorrow. I am so looking forward to that. Hopefully the weather will be nice so that I can take some nice photos of Crater Lake.
