Just My Rambling

Phew, what a weekend! We had a 4day weekend which would have been awesome if we had good weather. Unfortunately we had rain everyday for the past 4 days. The rain was not good for our garage sales either. I did manage to sell a lot of things but I am sure that if it had been sunnier, business would have been much better. Oh well, at least I did get rid of some big things that were getting in the way. So with our revenue from our garage sales, we got a new Samsung microwave. Yay! I can finally pop popcorn again.

This weekend a few of us have combine together to do a garage sale. I like to do multi household garage sales because it helps to curb the boredom of doing it alone. The kids are happier too because they get a play date out of this deal too. Anyway, I was checking out some of the stuff for sale and was so tempted to buy a lot of them including a weight bench. I have no idea what I will do with it since I don’t do ab workouts but it was new, so cheap and so tempting. I had to keep reminding myself that I was there to sell my stuff and not buy more stuff. Maybe I should just keep my wallet at home when I go to the garage sale this weekend. That way I won’t be tempted to accumulate more things.

I have to admit that I do not know much about social security benefits. So when a neighbor recently asked me about social security disability benefits, I didn’t have any answers. Instead of giving him the wrong answer, I told him to look for companies like Allsup who are professionals that help others receive their benefits. I am sure that they will be able to answer all his questions and help him to receive his benefits.

Lil’ C starts full day school in September. So what does that mean for me? I will have 6 hours of free time every day. Maybe it is time to start looking for a job, or at least a part-time job since I would still like to be at home when she gets back from school. A friend mentioned that insurancespecialists might be a good field to get into but I am not too sure. I am already confused over my own insurance policies, so how will I be able to handle policies for clients. I think I will do better in the food industry. Maybe I should work in a coffee joint for starters just for employee discounts.

Since I was so busy with everything else in life, my workout had to take a backseat for a while. My Wii Fit is sitting next to the TV collecting dust and so are my running/walking shoes. Sigh! Maybe I will need to check out the new diet pill for now. But I am really hoping that with the warmer weather coming, we will be able to do lots of cycling or swimming in the summer. Right now the weather has not been looking too good. I am praying very hard that we will have a warm summer like last year.

Wait! What day is it? End of May already??? Where did this month go? Seriously it has just been the busiest month ever filled with birthday parties and school activities. There were also a couple of garage sales that I was in, so I spend a lot of time digging up things from the storage, cleaning and sorting them for the garage sales. I am feeling so tired now and probably looking haggard too! I will need some serious help from the best wrinkle cream in the market right now. I am really looking forward to summer when school ends and I can sleep in or is that just wishful thinking?

Phew, what a crazy weekend! I know it’s Tuesday but I am barely recovering from all the activities. Lil’ C and her daddy had a daddy-daughter day while I had a mommy’s day off with my friends. We all had so much fun. Lil’ C even managed to have a playdate with her friends while the daddies hung out together and did a little bbq. Lil’ C also got to play the playstation 3 for the first time and had so much fun. I have a feeling that it will be appearing on her wish list soon. Even though it was exhausting, I am so glad we all got to spend time with friends.

This was the cake that I made last weekend. Now you know why I need to rid belly fat! Even though I did not eat the cake, the time I spent in the kitchen making the cake always lead to lots of snacking. I tried to resist but I have weak willpower especially when the kitchen smells of freshly baked cake. So unless I can bake my cake elsewhere, the best solution is to stop buying junk food because if I can’t see it, I can’t eat it!

The weather has been really great these past few days. I guess it means that summer is almost here. I have been in my closet trying to find all my summer clothes and get them ready for the summer. Unfortunately I discovered that some of them don’t fit anymore. I know I should be happy that I get to shop but I am not happy due to the reason for the shopping spree. Anyone knows of diet pills that work? Ugh! It looks like it is time to start my daily date with Wii Fit again.

Can you believe that summer is almost here? School will be over in just over a month. I am in the middle of planning our summer activities. I have decided that I am not going to send Lil’ C to camps. Instead we will do Vacation Bible School and lots of camping. I have booked a couple of camping sites already and hopefully a couple more bookings next week. I have also been secretly checking out rv for sale because I really want an RV! Unfortunately we won’t be able to afford one right now. So it will be tent camping for now. I can’t wait for summer to start. It will probably zoom by just like this past year.
