Fall is creeping in slowly

It seems like the rain is back and fall is slowly creeping in. Even the days are getting shorter already. I guess it is time to start putting away all the summer stuff and start getting out all the winter jackets, dehumidifier, and thick blankets out from the storage. We had a pretty cold summer. Hopefully the winter will not be a bad one like the one we had 2 years ago.

Back to school!

Wow, can’t believe that school is starting tomorrow! It has been a crazy and busy summer as usual. We had lots of fun camping and vacationing but now it’s time to get off the vacation mode and back into school mode. Lil’ C starts first grade and that means that she’s off to a full day school. That also means that I will have 6 1/2 hours of ME time!!! Wow, I don’t even know what I am going to do yet but I am sure that I will find something. Yay for school!!

I love free kids meals especially now that Lil’ C has started ordering her own meals. For the entire month of August, you will receive one free kids meal with the purchase of one adult entree. The deal is only valid from 4pm to 10 pm.

Too many toys!

Gosh, I really have no idea how many books and toys that Lil’ C has in her room. I was helping her clean her room today and she kept discovering toys that she has not seen for a while. Maybe I should get her a barcode scanner to keep inventory of all her books and toys. That way, we won’t be getting duplicates of anything! I think it is time to start donating some of her old toys away.

The fun world of crafts

Ever since I stopped working, I have discovered the wonderful world of hobbies. Before I started getting interested in all artsy crafty stuff, I didn’t know that there would be so many interesting crafty finds out there. Nowadays with the internet, it is so easy to learn and discover new crafts. I have tried crocheting, quilting, sewing, baking, candle making and others. My latest hobby is jewelry making and I am loving it. The only problem is that it can be quite costly to maintain this hobby and so I am on a quest to look for wholesale jewelry supplies. Hopefully I will be able to reduce cost and indulge in this latest hobby for a longer time.

Eating too much

We have one more camping trip this summer before school starts for the new school year. Usually when we go camping, we prepare elaborate meals. Everytime we come back from camping, I always gain a little weight. So for this upcoming camping trip, we plan to cut down on food. We plan to load up on fruits and water instead of meat and juice. Hopefully none of our camping group brings any junk food to camping or even the latest fda approved diet pills will not help.

Not like the old days

We have lived in our current house for almost 3 years. We bought the house when it was being built, so that means that all the appliances in the house were new. Unfortunately some of them are already starting to show signs of breaking down anytime. Gosh, they don’t make appliances like they used to anymore. I remember my mom’s washing machine that lasted 20 years. Now mine is about to collapse in less than 3 years. I guess I better start checking out aj madison coupons to see if I can grab a good deal on appliances. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that the appliances will still last a little while longer.

Vitamin reminder gadget?

I am really bad about taking vitamins. Even though I have a whole drawer full of vitamins, I always forget to eat them. So once in a while I will clean out the drawer to get rid of all the expired vitamins. The last time I did that I even found some prenatal vitamins at the back of the drawer. Definitely time to get rid of them since my baby is almost 6 years old!! Anyone has a good suggestion on how I can remember to take my vitamins everyday?

No more fairs

This summer has been really bad for my body. Even though I am doing a lot of outdoor activities, I am also eating a lot which is a big no-no. I blame it on all the greasy fair food. I really need to stay away from the fairs or I will have to start looking for the safest diet pills available out there. Maybe it’s about time to dust off my Wii and start working on it again.

A Grill Obsession

My dear hubby is a little obsessed with grills. I have no idea how many we have around the house. We have a gas grill, electric grill, charcoal grill and even a couple of portable grills. Please don’t ask me what we do with all of them. I have no clue because we usually end up just using one. The others are part of the garage decoration and for those just-in-case-we-might-need-it days. Sigh, I hope we don’t accumulate anymore or I might have to have a garage sale just for grills next summer.
