Now that the weather is getting sunnier and drier, it seems like a lot of people are working from home so that they can get off work earlier and head out to the parks to enjoy outdoor activities. Nowadays, all the cool technology like video conferencing or smart phones are making working from home so easy. Even DH also loves to work from home. That way he can cut down on commuting cost and time and most importantly, he can work in his pajamas! If I ever find a job, I will have to make sure that I find one that I can work from home.

Last week I was doing some shopping for our summer camping trips when I came across some cool hammocks. There’s the swing chair, sky tent and even hammock with a roof. All along I thought there was only one kind of hammock that you tie to 2 trees but I guess I was wrong. I am trying to persuade the DH to get one so that we can bring it on our camping trip. He is a little reluctant now but I am pretty sure that if we get it, he will fight with me for a turn on the hammock!

DH is crazy over mountain biking. It is a good sport, however it can be a very expensive sport. There are so many accessories that need to purchased to sustain this hobby. This week DH bought a couple of bell helmets and some headlights. Last week, it was gloves and brakes. It seems like it is a non-ending shopping spree. I always encouraged DH to have hobbies but now I am reconsidering it because I didn’t know how expensive it will be. I think the next time he finds a new hobby, I will have to check if it will be an expensive hobby or not.

When people say that you are over the hill when you turn 40, they are not kidding. Since the day that I turned the big fat 4-0, I have had to learn so many medical terms. Some of which I never even knew existed!! Terms like MRI, ecg, EKG, EMG and so on have appeared in both the life of both of us and even among friends in the past couple of years. Sigh, hopefully this is not a preview of the years to come. I think it is a good time to have a big diet change to cater to our current physical state else we will not have a fun later years.

Both DH and I are not DIY-savvy which means that words like diamond saw blades and miter saw are foreign words to us. They are just not in our vocabulary! I think it has to do with the fact that both of us grew up in a country where labor is cheap. So if anything is broken or needs to be made, we hire someone to do the work. But we do not have that luxury now. We are now slowly starting to fix little stuff by ourselves because the labor cost to hire someone to do the work is just way too expensive.

My webhost is up for renewal already. I can’t believe that it has been 5 years since I started blogging. Blogging has truly been an interesting journey. It has its ups and downs. Somedays it is fun but on other days, it is not. There has been many times when the thought of shutting down the blog has popped into my head. But the thought of losing 5 years of writing is very disheartening. So for now, I will continue to blog. I guess that means I need to either stay with my current webhost for look for a new one. A friend suggested checking out hostgator wordpress. So I will probably do that and make a cost comparison before making a decision.

Now that summer is around the corner, it is hard not to think about losing weight especially with all the gorgeous swimsuits on sale at the stores. I know that I will not be able to fit into my last years swimsuit and that is not happy thought. Even though I have been exercising and eating healthy, I am still not able to reach my desired weight. For a fleeting moment I thought about diet pills. Unfortunately I am more worried about the side effects of apidexin or other diet pills than my weight. I still have about one whole months before the weather turns really warm. Hopefully I will be able to see the results from my exercise by then.

C has been growing like a weed lately. It’s definitely a major growth spurt. So now she has outgrown most of her clothes especially her school uniform. I had to bring her to do uniform shopping last week. While we were at the uniform store, ,my little pink-crazy girl wanted to buy the pink nurse uniform! I think she wants to wear it to school because she was complaining why her school uniform is not pink. Maybe I should suggest that to the school administration? I seriously don’t think that the suggestion will be well-received.

I just spend the last few days trying to remember the password to my blog!! Usually I am pretty good about writing down the passwords when I change them but for some reason, I totally missed out when I changed the password to this blog. To make matters worse, the lost password email function was not working. So instead of spending my time shopping and drooling over wood pergolas, I was pulling my hair out trying out different password combinations. It was definitely not fun but thankfully I finally did manage to find the password. Now I really have to sit down and seriously design a new password system so that this error will not happen again.

Last week, my DH came home with a lowes employment application form. I think he is trying to give me a big hint! But he said that someone at the store gave it to him but I am not sure if I should believe him. I know he will be very happy if I decide to start working again. I definitely do not want to work full-time because I would like to be at home when C comes back from school. But I am open to the idea of a part-time job. That way I can have more money to shop! : ) Maybe I can get a job at my favorite arts and crafts store.
